These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales made on the Nanopolis website.
2. Products
Nanopolis designs, manufactures and sells synthesizers, Eurorack modules and accessories for professional music and audio creation (hereinafter "the Products").
Each unit is assembled, checked, tested and individually controlled before shipping.
Technical Specifications
Essential characteristics (dimensions, power supply, consumption, connectors, Eurorack 3U / 1V/oct compatibility, etc.) are indicated on each product page.
Performance is guaranteed within normal tolerances specific to electronic components.
Minor Variations
Images, 3D renderings, photos, colors, materials, finishes and visual elements shown on the site are provided for informational purposes only.
Minor differences may exist depending on the series or suppliers (shade, texture, equivalent components).
These variations do not constitute a defect.
Intended Use
Products must be used:
- in a musical or audio context,
- with compliant power supplies,
- in a suitable environment,
- in accordance with the provided instructions.
Nanopolis declines all responsibility in case of:
- product modification,
- improper installation,
- misuse,
- non-compliant power supply.
Documentation
Each Product includes digital documentation or available online.
Compliance
Products meet the requirements for:
- electrical safety,
- electromagnetic compatibility (EMC),
- CE compliance when required.
Availability
Products are offered subject to available stock.
In case of unavailability after ordering:
refund, replacement or new shipping date may be offered.
3. Prices
Product prices are indicated in euros (€) and include French VAT for individuals located in the European Union.
Applicable Rates
The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of order.
Validated orders cannot be retroactively modified.
Additional Fees
Prices do not include:
- shipping costs,
- customs duties,
- import taxes,
- local VAT outside EU,
- any carrier administrative fees.
These fees remain entirely at the customer's expense.
Price Changes
Prices may change based on:
- supplier costs,
- electronic components,
- currency fluctuations.
Changes do not affect already validated orders.
Promotions and Discounts
Promotions or discount codes are:
- not retroactive,
- not cumulative unless specified,
- valid only during the announced period.
Nanopolis may suspend a promotion in case of obvious error or fraudulent use.
Price Accuracy
In case of obvious error (abnormally low price, bug), Nanopolis may:
- cancel the order, or
- request confirmation of the adjusted price.
No shipment occurs without customer validation.
Currency
Payment is made exclusively in euros (€).
Bank conversion fees are at the customer's expense.
4. VAT – Applicable Regimes
Individuals France & European Union
Displayed prices include French VAT.
B2B Sales in the European Union
Tax-free (HT) invoicing if:
- a valid EU VAT number is provided;
- this number is verified via the official VIES API (VAT Information Exchange System).
Invalid number → French VAT automatically applied.
Outside the European Union
HT (excluding VAT) invoicing.
All taxes in the destination country are at the customer's expense.
5. Orders
5.1. Order Process

5.2. Guest Order
No customer account is created.
The customer must keep the confirmation email and invoice.
5.3. Information Accuracy
The customer is responsible for the information provided.
In case of:
- incorrect address,
- incorrect email,
- impossibility to deliver,
the return of the package may be charged.
5.4. Availability
Order valid subject to actual Product availability.
5.5. Order Refusal
Nanopolis may refuse or cancel an order in case of:
- suspected fraud,
- inconsistent address,
- abnormal quantities,
- previous dispute,
- logistical impossibility.
5.6. Archiving
Nanopolis archives:
- order,
- invoice,
- proof of payment.
These documents serve as proof of contract.
6. Payment
Payment by credit card via Stripe.
Secure Payment via Stripe
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd, PCI-DSS compliant.
Nanopolis:
- does not store any banking data,
- does not process card numbers,
- relies on Stripe for security, fraud prevention and EU VAT validation.

Payment refused → order automatically canceled.
7. Delivery and Transfer of Risks
7.1. Carriers
- Metropolitan France: Colissimo
- International: UPS
- Worldwide delivery (subject to legal or logistical restrictions)
7.2. Delivery Times
- Shipping: within 24 working hours after payment validation
- Metropolitan France: approximately 3 working days after shipping
- International: according to estimate displayed at order
Legal maximum deadline: 30 days from order validation (Article L216-1 of the Consumer Code).
In case of delay, the customer can:
- cancel the order,
- request a refund within 14 days.
7.3. Tracking
A tracking number is communicated by email as soon as the package is shipped.
7.4. Customs and Import Taxes
For deliveries outside the European Union, all fees are at the customer's expense:
- customs duties,
- import taxes,
- local VAT,
- customs clearance fees,
- carrier administrative fees.
The customer must inquire about their country's regulations before ordering.
Refusal to pay customs fees → package will be returned → return costs charged to customer.
7.5. Package Reception
The customer (or their representative) must:
- check the package condition in the presence of the carrier,
- immediately report any apparent damage,
- make written reservations on the delivery note if necessary.
In case of damaged package, the customer must:
- Make reservations on the delivery note
- Confirm these reservations by registered mail to the carrier within 48 hours
- Inform [email protected] within 3 days with photos
7.6. Lost or Undelivered Package
In case of lost or undelivered package despite several attempts:
- Contact [email protected] with the order number
- Nanopolis will open an investigation with the carrier
- Packages are insured during transport
Claim deadline: 14 days maximum after the expected delivery date.
7.7. Transfer of Risks
Risks are transferred to the customer upon delivery of the Product to the carrier (shipping).
From that moment, Nanopolis cannot be held responsible for:
- loss of package,
- damage during transport,
- delivery delays.
Claims must be addressed directly to the carrier, except for insured packages (see 7.6).
8. Right of Withdrawal (Consumers)
In accordance with articles L221-18 to L221-28 of the Consumer Code, consumers (individuals) benefit from a 14-day withdrawal period to return a Product without having to justify the reason.
Professionals (B2B orders) do not benefit from this right.
8.1. Withdrawal Period
The 14-day period runs from the day of Product reception.
8.2. How to Exercise the Right of Withdrawal
The customer must notify their decision to withdraw:

The customer may use the withdrawal form at the end of this document or any other explicit statement.
Information to provide:
- order number,
- order date,
- name and email,
- Product reference concerned.
8.3. Return Conditions
The Product must be returned within 14 days after withdrawal notification.
Product Condition:
- complete (accessories, cables, documentation, packaging),
- in its original packaging,
- in perfect resale condition,
- without traces of use, installation or modification,
- not installed in a Eurorack system.
The customer may test the Product normally (connections, basic operation), but any excessive use resulting in depreciation may give rise to a proportional refund reduction (Article L221-23).

8.5. Return Costs
Return costs are entirely at the customer's expense, except in case of defective product or Nanopolis error.
The customer must:
- insure the package,
- use a carrier with tracking,
- keep proof of shipment.
Nanopolis is not responsible for packages lost during return.
8.6. Refund
Nanopolis will refund the total amount paid (Product price + initial shipping costs) within 14 days from:
- receipt of the returned Product, or
- receipt of proof of return shipment.
The refund will be made by the same payment method as used for the order, unless expressly agreed otherwise by the customer.
Refund may be deferred until Product recovery or presentation of proof of shipment.
In case of Product depreciation due to excessive use (beyond simple testing), a proportional deduction may be applied.
8.7. Exceptions to Withdrawal Right
Withdrawal right does not apply to:
- Customized or made-to-order Products,
- Unsealed Products whose seal has been broken (if applicable),
- professional orders (B2B).
8.8. Exchange
Nanopolis does not offer direct exchange. To exchange a Product, the customer must:
- Exercise their withdrawal right,
- Place a new order.
9. Legal Warranties
Products benefit from legal warranties provided by the Consumer Code and the Civil Code.
9.1. Legal Warranty of Conformity (Articles L217-3 to L217-17)
The customer has a period of 2 years from Product reception to exercise the legal warranty of conformity.
Conditions:
- The conformity defect must exist at the time of Product delivery.
- For defects appearing within 24 months following delivery, the defect is presumed to exist at the time of delivery (customer does not have to prove it).
Remedies: The customer may request:
- Repair of the Product, or
- Replacement of the Product, or
- Price reduction, or
- Full refund if repair/replacement impossible.
Return costs: Nanopolis covers return costs in case of non-compliant product.

9.2. Legal Warranty Against Hidden Defects (Articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code)
The customer may also invoke the warranty against hidden defects, by proving that:
- the defect existed before the sale,
- the defect was hidden (not apparent upon reception),
- the defect makes the Product unsuitable for use or greatly diminishes such use.
Deadline: 2 years from defect discovery.
Remedies:
- return the Product and get a refund (redhibitory action), or
- keep the Product and get a partial refund (estimatory action).
9.3. Exclusions
Legal warranties do not cover:
- damages resulting from improper use,
- incorrect installation,
- modification of the Product,
- shock, drop or accident,
- non-compliant power supply,
- normal wear and tear,
- minor aesthetic damage not affecting operation.
9.4. Warranty Procedure
Contact [email protected] with:
- order / invoice number,
- precise problem description,
- photos or videos if possible.
Nanopolis analyzes the request within 48 hours (working days).
If warranty applies:
- customer returns the Product to the indicated address,
- return costs are covered by Nanopolis (return label provided if possible).
Repair, replacement or refund depending on the situation.
Return costs for diagnosis: If the Product is not covered by warranty (e.g. misuse), return and analysis costs may be charged to the customer.
10. After-Sales Service (ASS)
10.1. ASS Contact

10.2. Information to Provide
For any ASS request, please provide:
- order number or invoice number,
- Product reference,
- detailed description of the problem encountered,
- photos or videos if relevant,
- Product reception date.
10.3. Return Address for ASS
If a return is necessary (after prior agreement):

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Never return a Product without prior agreement from Nanopolis.
Mandatory mention on the package:
- your name,
- invoice number.
10.4. ASS Procedure
- Declaration: Email to [email protected] with all information.
- Analysis: Nanopolis studies the request within 48h and proposes a solution.
- Return: If necessary, customer returns the Product (costs at their expense unless warranty applicable).
- Diagnosis: Nanopolis examines the Product within 5 to 7 working days.
- Solution: Repair, replacement, refund or return depending on the situation.
10.5. ASS Return Costs
- Applicable warranty (conformity defect, hidden defect): return costs covered by Nanopolis.
- Out of warranty (misuse, modification, accident): return and possible repair costs at customer's expense.
The customer must:
- carefully pack the Product,
- use a carrier with tracking,
- insure the package,
- keep proof of shipment.
10.6. Processing Times
- Diagnosis: 5 to 7 working days after Product reception.
- Repair: 10 to 15 working days (depending on parts availability).
- Replacement: depending on stock availability.
These times are given for information and may vary according to problem complexity.
10.7. Temporary Replacement Product
Nanopolis does not offer loaner or temporary replacement during repair.
10.8. Diagnosis Fees
If the Product is not covered by warranty:
- a repair quote will be offered before intervention,
- in case of quote refusal, diagnosis and return shipping fees may be charged.
10.9. Technical Support
For any question about Product use (not related to malfunction):
- consult the documentation provided with the Product,
- contact [email protected] for free technical assistance.
11. Liability
Nanopolis is not responsible for:
- indirect damages,
- incorrect installation,
- non-compliant use,
- modifications,
- post-shipment damages.
12. Intellectual Property
All designs, schematics, visuals and content are property of Nanopolis.
13. Personal Data and Privacy
Nanopolis respects its customers' privacy and is committed to protecting their personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act.

13.2. Data Collected
During order:
- Identity: surname, first name
- Contact details: email address, postal address (delivery and billing)
- Payment information: processed exclusively by Stripe (Nanopolis does not store any banking data)
- Order data: ordered products, amounts, date, order number
- EU VAT number (for EU professionals)
During navigation:
- Navigation data: IP address, browser type, visited pages (via Google Analytics)
- Cookies: see section 18
13.3. Processing Purposes
Data is collected and processed to:
- process and execute orders,
- issue invoices (legal obligation),
- ensure Product delivery,
- manage customer service and ASS,
- manage legal warranties and returns,
- comply with legal obligations (accounting, tax),
- prevent fraud (via Stripe),
- improve the website (anonymized statistics via Google Analytics).
13.4. Processing Legal Basis
- Contract execution: order processing, delivery (Article 6.1.b GDPR)
- Legal obligation: invoicing, accounting archiving (Article 6.1.c GDPR)
- Legitimate interest: fraud prevention, statistics (Article 6.1.f GDPR)
- Consent: non-essential cookies (Article 6.1.a GDPR)
13.5. Data Recipients
Data is transmitted to the following recipients:
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd: payment processing (hosted in Europe, PCI-DSS certified)
- Colissimo / La Poste: France delivery
- UPS: international delivery
- Google Analytics: navigation statistics (anonymized data)
- Administrations: in case of legal obligation (tax authorities, etc.)
Nanopolis does not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
13.6. Transfers Outside the European Union
Some subcontractors may process data outside the EU:
- Stripe: USA, governed by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission
- Google Analytics: USA, IP anonymization enabled
13.7. Retention Period

- Right of rectification (Article 16): correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure (Article 17): request deletion of your data (subject to legal obligations)
- Right to restriction (Article 18): limit processing in certain cases
- Right to object (Article 21): object to processing for legitimate reason
- Right to portability (Article 20): retrieve your data in structured format
- Right to withdraw consent: for non-essential cookies

13.11. Data Security
Nanopolis implements technical and organizational measures to protect data:
- SSL/TLS encryption for all communications,
- secure hosting,
- restricted access to data,
- secure payments via Stripe (PCI-DSS certified),
- regular backups.
In case of data breach likely to create a risk for your rights and freedoms, Nanopolis will inform you within 72 hours in accordance with GDPR.
14. Recycling and Environment
Nanopolis Products are electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).
♻️ Do not dispose with household waste.
At end of life, Products must be recycled via:
- municipal recycling centers,
- specialized collection points,
- retailers (take-back of old equipment when purchasing new).
Nanopolis encourages circular economy and equipment repair rather than replacement.
15. Disputes – Applicable Law – Competent Jurisdiction
15.1. Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law.
15.2. Competent Jurisdiction
In case of dispute, and after failure of any attempt to find an amicable solution, competent courts are those of Nanopolis' registered office (Montpellier, France), except for mandatory contrary provisions.
For consumers: territorial jurisdiction rules provided by the Consumer Code apply (consumer may seize the court of their domicile).
15.3. Consumer Mediation
In accordance with articles L611-1 to L616-3 of the Consumer Code, any consumer has the right to use free consumer mediation for amicable resolution of a dispute opposing them to Nanopolis.
The consumer may seize the mediator within one year after having seized Nanopolis in writing with a complaint that remained unsuccessful.

16. Force Majeure
Nanopolis cannot be held responsible for any delay or non-performance of its obligations resulting from a force majeure event as defined by article 1218 of the Civil Code and French case law.
Notably considered as force majeure:
- natural disasters (floods, earthquakes, fires),
- war, riot, attack,
- general transport strike,
- epidemic or pandemic,
- widespread electricity or internet outage,
- failure of an essential supplier,
- governmental or administrative decision,
- shortage of electronic components.
In case of force majeure:
- Nanopolis will inform the customer as soon as possible,
- obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event,
- if the event lasts more than 30 days, the contract may be canceled and the customer refunded.
17. Retention of Title Clause
Products sold remain Nanopolis' property until full payment of the price (principal, shipping costs, and any additional fees).
Transfer of ownership occurs at the time of full payment, even if delivery has already taken place.
In case of non-payment, Nanopolis reserves the right to request Product restitution.
This clause does not concern transfer of risks, which occurs upon delivery to carrier (see section 7.7).
18. Cookies and Trackers
18.1. What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on the visitor's device during site navigation. It allows to store information related to navigation.
18.2. Cookies Used by Nanopolis
The Nanopolis site uses the following cookies:
Essential cookies (exempt from consent):
- Session cookie: maintains user session during navigation
- Cart cookie: preserves cart items
These cookies are essential for site operation and cannot be disabled.
Analytics cookies (require consent):
- Google Analytics: site traffic and usage statistics
Google Analytics configuration:
- IP address anonymization enabled,
- retention period: 13 months,
- no sharing with other Google services.
18.3. Cookie Management
Upon first visit, an information banner appears allowing to:
- accept all cookies,
- refuse non-essential cookies,
- customize choices.

18.4. Consent Validity Period
Cookie consent is valid for 13 months maximum. Beyond that, a new consent request will be presented.
19. Modification of Terms and Conditions
Nanopolis reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time to:
- comply with legislative or regulatory changes,
- improve services,
- adapt its commercial practices.
Modifications will be published on the site with mention of the update date.
Application principle:
- Applicable Terms and Conditions are those in effect at time of order.
- Modifications do not affect already validated orders.
The customer is invited to regularly consult the Terms and Conditions.
20. Severability of Clauses
If one or more provisions of these Terms and Conditions are declared null, invalid or unenforceable by a final court decision, other provisions will retain all their force and scope.
Parties will endeavor to replace the invalid clause with a valid clause of equivalent effect.
21. Non-Waiver
Nanopolis' temporary failure to enforce a clause of these Terms and Conditions cannot be interpreted as a definitive waiver of said clause.
22. Contract Language
These Terms and Conditions are written in English and French.
In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails in case of dispute.
23. Acceptance of Terms and Conditions
Order validation on the Nanopolis site implies:
- reading and unreserved acceptance of these Terms and Conditions,
- acceptance of prices, descriptions and Product availability,
- commitment to pay amounts due.
The customer acknowledges having the necessary legal capacity to contract and make purchases on the site.
24. Effective Date and Version
