Antigone firmware 1.0.6 released
New Galbanum wavetables, the brand-new Shape Sequencer, 16 macros with MIDI CC, and a long list of bug fixes — most likely the official release version. Don't forget to grab the SD card archive.
What's new
Big release — likely the official 1.0 version. New wavetables, a brand-new Shape Sequencer module, lots of UI polish and a wide bug-fix sweep.
Don't forget to update your SD card. New wavetables and projects live on the SD card — grab the archive below alongside the firmware.
New wavetable library
- Custom waves licensed from Galbanum — approximately 60 wavetables added to the Wavetable Synth and LFO Wavetable.
New module — Shape Sequencer
- Modulation sequencer with 1 to 256 steps, featuring 34 different shapes.
- Each step has min and max parameters, repetition from 1 to 8 times, and a probability parameter from 0 to 100%.
- Synchronised with the clock.
- Direction modes: forward, reverse, random, ping-pong. A step can also advance on trig or clock.
Macros
- Macros count increased to 16.
- Each macro can be assigned to a MIDI CC for absolute control.
General
- Long-press delay raised from 250 ms to 350 ms to avoid confusion with short presses.
- Added a "No action on long press" message when no action is bound, or "This parameter cannot be modulated" when applicable.
- Alt + button (short or long) previews the current instrument.
- New Space Antigone screensaver replaces the old one.
- Customised greyscale palette for more screen contrast.
- Added an autoloader in the file browser.
- Memory management revised to prevent crashes when the sample wave pool is full (in RAM).
- Fixed project/preset name input when adding a space.
- Trig indicators in the screen header no longer light up if no machine is loaded in the instrument.
Voice control
- Removed the "Config" and "Layout" tabs. Long-press the encoder to edit the voice layout. The "< | ALT" button cancels in layout-change mode instead of exiting the screen.
- Switch the editing of an instrument's voices in a modulation or in the machine via ALT + "< VOICE"** or **ALT + "VOICE >".
- Fixed incorrect slave-note pitch in some CV/Gate configurations with unison or unison legato.
- The "midi" value was shown without any extension connected to the "control" parameter — fixed.
LFO
- Enhanced LFO visualisation.
- The "Clock" parameter in the LFO Wavetable should not be modulable — fixed.
- During sample or wavetable scrolling, you can now press the encoder to go to the browser without waiting for the temporary waveform preview to close.
Wavetable Synth
- Fixed incorrect "Position" text display when changing wavetables, even if the position parameter is not on the corresponding knob.
- Prevented volume jumps when quickly changing the wavetable (prevents pop process bug).
Sample Player
- Added Loop point parameter.
- Improved UI.
- Fixed crash when instantiating a sample player with a file that does not fit in memory.
- Fixed crash when entering the sample player screen too quickly after adding the machine while a large sample is loading in the background.
- Corrected visualisation of start/end points.
- Some error messages were not displayed correctly — fixed.
ADSR
- Constant ADSR visualisation.
- Added a Snap range (faster than the "fast" range).
- ADSR segments now highlight based on the currently played voice.
Sample & Hold (S&H)
- Enhanced visualisation.
- Gain parameter can now be modulated.
- Fixed incoherent values on CV input.
- Fixed crash when CV input is selected.
- Added polarity (bi, uni+, uni-).
- Trig view now follows the last notes in poly mode.
Clock
- Internal clock range now from 10 to 400 BPM.
- Added 8-bar and 16-bar subdivisions.
Mod Matrix
- Fixed crackling on the "mod matrix" page.
- The attenuverter of Modulation 3 of the parameters was not loading from the presets as it should (value at 0) — fixed.
How to update
- Download
antigone-1.0.6-beta.hexfrom the link below. - Download the SD card content archive and copy it to your microSD card.
- Follow the step-by-step procedure in the documentation: How to update the firmware.
Back up your projects first. The updater leaves user data alone, but a clean SD copy is always a good idea.
