Antigone firmware 1.0.8 released
New wavetable transform parameters, anti-aliasing wavefolder, 14-bit MIDI pitch bend, faster preset loading, lower CPU, plus a sound bank of ~500 drum samples on the SD card.
What's new
A solid round of fixes plus a few headline features. As a bonus, the SD card archive ships a sound bank of around 500 drum samples (recorded by Felix Rouske / AC-Tone and Vincent) and new presets.
Don't forget to update your SD card. The new presets and sound bank live on the SD — grab the SD archive below alongside the firmware.
Enhancements
- New wavetable transform parameters in the Wavetable synth: Sync, Sync Windowed, Asymm +/-, Sine, Decimator, Folder — replacing the old Decimator + Folder parameters.
- Optimised wavefolder now includes oversampling / anti-aliasing filters (on the wavetable machine).
- Improved preset and instrument loading speed.
- Reduced overall CPU usage by ~2%.
- MIDI pitch bend now supports 14-bit values instead of 7-bit.
- Improved instrument switching shortcuts — now contextual, keeping the current page / track / modulation selected.
Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the sample player's volume would change unexpectedly.
- Resolved partial preset saving issues.
- Debugged voice switching within machines.
- Fixed a crash caused by phase distortion set to 0% (or 100%) in the FM2 algorithm, which would cause filters to malfunction (sound cuts off).
- Fixed an issue with the Shape Sequencer maintaining the last modulation value at the end of a step.
- Addressed crashes when loading instruments, removing or changing modulation slots.
- Fixed a crash when changing algorithms on the algorithmic synthesiser while the waveform preview was visible.
- Resolved a crash when loading wavetable synth or wavetable LFO in specific cases.
- Resolved crashes after several hours of intensive use during preset loading, layout changes or module switching due to memory fragmentation and interrupted wave loading.
How to update
- Download
antigone-1.0.8-beta.hexfrom the link below. - Download the SD card content archive and copy it to your microSD card to get the new presets and drum sound bank.
- Follow the step-by-step procedure in the documentation: How to update the firmware.
Back up your projects first. The updater leaves user data alone, but a clean SD copy is always a good idea.
